Advancing Agricultural Infrastructure and Strengthening Food Security

The Halabja Grain Silo Project is a major infrastructure initiative designed to strengthen agricultural development and food security in the Governorate of Halabja. With a total grain storage capacity of 40,000 metric tons, complemented by 10 additional warehouses, the project represents an important investment in the region's agricultural future.

Officially commenced on 22 August 2023, the project is being developed in accordance with high international engineering and construction standards, combining advanced technology with modern industrial solutions.

International Collaboration and Engineering Excellence

The project brings together international expertise through a strategic collaboration between two specialized companies:

AGI – Italy: The grain silo structures are manufactured by AGI, an established Italian company specializing in grain storage and handling solutions, bringing advanced engineering, manufacturing expertise, and high-quality industrial standards to the project.

ABP – Turkey: The remaining project works are being executed through a joint venture with the Turkish company ABP, combining technical expertise and engineering capabilities to deliver the project's integrated infrastructure.

This international partnership brings together Italian manufacturing expertise and Turkish engineering capabilities to support the successful implementation of this significant development project.

Key Technical Features

The facility incorporates advanced technologies and engineering solutions, including:

High-Precision Technology: Advanced equipment and systems designed to ensure accurate, efficient, and reliable grain handling and storage.

Large Storage Capacity: 40,000 metric tons of grain storage capacity, alongside 10 warehouses.

Easy Maintenance: Standardized, interchangeable galvanized steel plates and accessories that facilitate maintenance and future upgrades.

High Structural Strength: Reinforced silo walls and robust structural systems designed to withstand environmental forces, including wind, seismic activity, and snow loads, in accordance with design specifications.

Long-Term Durability: High-quality galvanized steel construction designed for extended service life, with a target lifespan of up to 100 years under appropriate operating and maintenance conditions.
